The 2024 football season is upon us! As we gear up to start supporting our favorite teams, ¡Yo Quiero! is working to begin its second year of celebrating the unsung heroes of Texas high school football: Team Moms.

By honoring eleven Team Moms during the Texas high school football season, ¡Yo Quiero! aims to shine a spotlight on these individuals who exemplify dedication, selflessness, and community spirit. This recognition not only celebrates the honorees but also raises awareness about the invaluable role that Team Moms play in the overall success and positive experience of high school athletes and the community.

The award sets out to achieve:

Community Outreach: Highlighting how these mothers go above and beyond to foster a sense of community support and spirit within the team environment.

Inspiration: To inspire others in the community to recognize and appreciate the selfless contributions of team moms and encourage more community involvement and volunteerism.

Celebration: Creating a space to publicly honor and celebrate the efforts of these unsung heroes who often work behind the scenes.

Recognition: To acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and positive impact that team moms have on their communities and the football teams while promoting ¡Yo Quiero! brand recognition.

In preparation for this year’s exciting new honorees, our team has been looking at last year’s incredible results.

We aimed to, above all else, honor Team Moms for their selfless contributions and efforts while promoting the ¡Yo Quiero! brand. This goal was far exceeded. We received positive feedback from school officials, fostered community engagement, and increased school participation in our initiatives.

  • Our ad on Dave Campbell’s Texas Football website had 2,383,068 impressions from 5/12/23 to 6/29/24.
  • There were 70,361 total votes received on TexasFootball.com for Team Mom of the Year Award.
  • We amassed 636,168 social impressions on Facebook/Twitter and 17,841 social engagements on Facebook/Twitter.
  • Recorded downloads reached 30,487 in the 30 days after the Women Talking Football interview with ¡Yo Quiero! brand representative, Tara Murray.
  • In addition, there was a 450,000 combined readership for Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Winter & Summer Edition magazines in which ¡Yo Quiero! received a full-page print ad.

Our efforts had lasting effects beyond immediate results. Since this initiative, we have sustained community partnerships, established brand recognition, and gained support in the community.

We look forward to continuing this ongoing legacy of support for team moms in the 2024 football season. Make sure to look out for The Barber Shop and ¡Yo Quiero! during the upcoming high school football season!
