
North Texas Giving Day 2024: A Record-Breaking Campaign
As planning kicks off for North Texas Giving Day 2025, looking back at last year’s campaign provides critical insights and opportunity for refinement. Understanding what worked, what challenged us, and what moved the community to action helps enhance strategy, strengthen partnerships, and spark new ideas.
The lessons learned in 2024 are more than data points, they are guides for how we can continue to grow impact, widen audience reach, and make this year’s event even more inclusive and successful!
In 2024, NTXGD evolved into a multi-day format that ran from September 1–19. This expanded timeline allowed for deeper engagement, more impactful storytelling, and broader outreach. With The Barber Shop as a strategic partner, Communities Foundation of Texas launched a bold, integrated campaign that empowered donors, elevated nonprofit voices, and welcomed new participants into the giving movement.
TBS built a multi-platform strategy that spanned digital, traditional, and grassroots channels. The plan included social media, influencer partnerships, email marketing, TV and radio, outdoor, streaming, and community events. We also emphasized impact storytelling by using real donor and nonprofit stories to bring the NTXGD mission to life.
Despite a condensed promotional window and limited media inventory, the results exceeded expectations:
- $68M raised—$6M more than 2023
- 3,200+ nonprofits supported
- 490,000+ video views with 98%+ completion rate
- 960+ confirmed online donations
By embracing agility, collaboration, and data-driven insights, CFT and TBS transformed obstacles into opportunities. The result is a campaign that not only grew donations but deepened community connections.
